The Book Store at Western recently emailed graduation information to all graduates registered for the 2013 Spring Convocation. Order your frames, rings and graduation gifts by May 17, 2013 to ensure delivery in time for your Convocation date. For more information contact weborder@uwo.ca or (519) 661-3520.

Spring Convocation 2013 will be held Tuesday, June 11 – 14 and Monday June, 17 – 19, 2013.

Store hours during convocation, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm

Regalia Rental

Website opens on April 15, 2013.
Click here to register with Gaspard Regalia Rental. Please pre-order before Thursday, May 30 at midnight.

Regalia Pick Up


Book Store Extras, UCC, Room 35, Lower level (across from The Book Store)

Your pre-ordered regalia is available on the day you graduate. Please note website pre-order price is $45 (taxes included). Day of onsite price is $60 (taxes included) so please pre-order.
Morning Ceremony:
Pick up from 7:30 am – 9:30 am. Please note that your ceremony starts at 10:00 am and you must be in Thames Hall Gym, Room 3120, not later than 8:45 am on the day of your Convocation.
Afternoon Ceremony:
Pick up from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Please note that your ceremony starts at 3:00 pm and you must be in Thames Hall Gym, Room 3120, not later than 1:45 pm on the day of your Convocation.
If you are graduating in the afternoon ceremony, you should pick up your regalia after 10:00 am to allow the morning ceremony graduates the ability to meet their time frame.

A selection of frames, batteries and film are available for one stop shopping convenience at this location.
Pickup location for prepaid frames, gifts and ring orders.(Complimentary framing service on degree frames purchased from The Book Store.)
Pickup location for your 2013 grad tassel compliments of The Book Store (present purple voucher received when picking up your regalia).

FAQs

Q. What happens if I miss the online order deadline?

A. You can pick up regalia on the day of your ceremony at an additional cost.

Q. Where do I pick up my Regalia Rental?

A. In Book Store Extras, room 35, lower level of the UCC building, across from The Book Store.

Q. Where do I pick up my pre-paid frames?

A. In The Book Store, lower level of the UCC Building.

Q. Where do I get my free tassel?

A. You may pick up your complimentary tassel at The Book Store, lower level UCC Building.

Q. How long does the ceremony last?

A. Approximately 2 hours.

Q. Where and when do I line up before going to Alumni Hall?

A. You will line up in Thames Hall, Room 3120 no later than 8:45 am for the morning ceremony and no later than 1:45 pm for the afternoon ceremony.

Q. Where can I leave my personal belongings?

A. Personal belongings may be left with an attendant in Thames Hall, Room 3120 and picked up after the convocation ceremony. Graduates may wish to leave belongings with relatives before entering Alumni Hall.

Q. What is a Mortarboard?

A. A Mortarboard is a square academic cap and costs $10.95 including tax. The cap is a souvenir and does not need to be returned at the end of your graduation ceremony.
